My Beauty Advent Calenders 2014

Growing up I never really had a chocolate advent calendar, it just wasn't something we did in my family. I would however sometimes buy discounted ones in the sales after Christmas :) hey chocolate is chocolate right?!

Last year was the first time I bought a beauty advent calendar (from boots) honestly I never knew they existed before then! This year I may have gone a bit overboard and purchased not 1, not 2 but 3 advent calendars....well if I don't treat myself who will??

YOU Beauty Advent Calendar £49.95 (Worth over £240) Still available to buy.
This Calender was a no-brainer for me! Including brands such as Laura Mercier, Liz Earle, Benefit, John Masters....who could resist. I did have a quick look at the contents before buying and there are a few repeats from boxes I've received over the last few months BUT it's products I'm happy to have duplicates of. Also included are many products I've yet to try. This is a HUGE box and comes with a handy booklet with info on all the products featured.

Boots No.7 Beauty Calender £35 (contents worth £130) Sold out online, but may still be available in some stores.
As I mentioned above it was the Boots Advent Calender I bought last year. This year instead of a mix of brands the calendar only has No.7 products. I normally buy at least one No.7 gift set at Xmas so this makes a good alternative. Contains best selling products, a special beauty quote behind every door and has an extra door to open on Christmas day.

Tesco Coundown to Christmas Advent Calendar £50 (now reduced to £25 for a very limited time) contents worth £125.
This is the first year Tesco have released a beauty advent calendar. Contains brands such as Nip+Fab, Korres, Katy Perry, Dr. LeWinns, Baylis & Harding. I was able to use some club card boost points making this calendar cost me only £5! What a bargain.

I really wanted the Benefit Candy Coated Countdown Advent Calendar but unfortunately I was at work when it was released and it sold out within hours! But to be fair there are a lot of products I wouldn't use and 6 of the items aren't even Benefit products! So instead I bought this Best of Benefit set for £24.50 in the Black Friday deals. Still available to buy online and instore.

I'm so excited I can't wait to start opening these tomorrow, this is better than Christmas :)
Were you lucky enough to get your hands on a beauty advent calendar this year or are you going traditional and getting a chocolate one? Leave a comment below :)
