Birchbox UK October 2014

October is Breast Cancer awareness month so Birchbox have partnered with Coppafeel! - a charity whose mission is to ensure you know the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, in order stamp out late detection. My granny was diagnosed earlier this year with breast cancer so this is a topic that speaks to the heart for me. Thankfully with treatment her tumor has reduced enough that she doesn't need surgery.

All women should do a monthly check, here's what to look out for.

This month all the products came in a really cute pink makeup zip case. Much more useful than the normal draw string bags.

The first product this month is 2 sachets of Pink Clay Face Mask by Cattier 12.5ml each (£4.25 for 100ml) Enriched with shea butter and peppermint which restore, refresh and nourish your skin. I've used one of these masks so far, but found I can get 2 uses from each sachet.

KMS California Hair Play Dry Wax 75ml (£15 for 150ml)
This is a wax spray that can be used on towel-dried or dry hair to add body and texture to the hair. I tend to only use oils in my hair so this product will be interesting to try.

Shaveworks The Cool Fix 29ml (£11 for 60ml)
The tingly gel is packed with natural exfoliators to remove dead skin that cause ingrown hairs and can lead to infections. Contains a moisturising medicalm complex that immediately cools and soothes razor bumps and red irritated skin after hair removal. I will use this sample but unlikely to repurchase as its not really the kinda thing I would normally use.

Pixi by Petra Shea Lip Balm (£8)
I received the shade 'Honey Nectar' which gives a sheer hint of colour. Very nourishing lip balm packed with shea butter and vitamin E.

Meaningful Beauty Glowing Serum 8ml (15ml £30.95)
Collaborated by Dr. Sebagh and Cindy Crawford over a decade ago this glow-giving “models secret” serum is packed with nourishing soy protein, marine botanicals, minerals and antioxidants. Designed to smooth and condition leaving the skin with a youthful, luminous glow.

Lifestyle extra this month is a cute pink pen, not one I'd take to work but will come in handy for notes at home.

I'd say a good mix of products this month. If you'd like to sign up to Birchbox please use my link HERE and we will both be rewarded with £5 worth of points to spend in the eshop. For every new subscriber in October Birchbox will donate £1 to Coppafeel!
